BMORG is a popular acronym for "Burning Man ORGanization", sometimes being seen as a pun (albeit a feeble one) on the Borg from Star Trek : The Next Generation. (The Borg were the race of cyborgs who were fond of saying "Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated"). The significance of the pun is that BMORG, like the BORG, is seen as group devoted to stamping out freedom and individuality to such an extent, that one feels odd even referring to its members as being distinct individuals.
